I never thought I'd see the day we made it back to a normal life but it's finally here. Universities are opening campuses, rooftop bars are fully functioning, and the sidewalks are full of laughter and quick footsteps. While normal people are excited to resume their social lives, some of us are just happy to finally gain some mileage in the shoes we've been dying to wear somewhere other than a quick Instagram feed. If this sounds like you, read along for some closet inspo for you and your lover. (or, just more for you!)
Lottie Basket and Paria Pro Converse

The "Lottie Basket" heel is a perfect addition to any girl's spring wardrobe. This vibrant blue mid heel is sure to be an eye catcher on a night out. The unique caged style is a great addition for when you don't want the crampness of a closed toe heel or the full exposure of an open toe. (Great for in between pedi weeks!) The 3.5 inch heel makes it a comfortable wear even for those prone to sole pains. Plus, they're Black owned! The style pairings for this versatile heel are endless.

A great paring for the Lottie Basket is the latest collab between Converse and Paria Pro. The neoprene upper and the sleek zippered finish gives this shoe a versatile feel perfect for a casual fit or even for a quick drink out. The two shoes share a sleek silhouette, bloue tones, and symmetrical line construction sure to make for an aesthetically pleasing his and hers look.
Marshmallow Wedge and Vector Reds

The Givenchy Marshmallow wedge is a warm weather staple for the girls who love to be basic and comfy but not in a traditional sense. These beauties make your other flip flops completely irrelevant. With a caved-in foot bed and thick rubber soles, this is the most comfortable choice for all your spring and summer activities without having to sacrifice chicness. Believe me, if you buy these you'll have trouble remembering why you own anything else.

Reebok have been making their comeback in large way, the latest being a collab with buzzing rapper, A$AP Nast who--like most of the A$AP Mob--is better known for memorable fashions many find themselves trying to recreate but can never quite grasp. Nast brings that natural eye for style to the table when creating the Vector Reds, perfect for Spring activities and keeping in tune with the dark pallet of the Givenchy wedges, making for another great his and hers pairing. Or just two good pairs for yourself.

Chloe's and Clark's

If you haven't encountered the Betty Boots by Chloe yet, I'm so happy to be the one to introduce you. The silhouette of these rain boots is absolutely perfect and the full PVC material combined with the jagged bottom soling makes them a perfect go to for the rainy days that come with our first season. While, they may not be best for the summer time, the spring wears will be plentiful as many choose to pair the mid rise boots with shorts and mini skirts. The taupe coloring is the perfect neutralization--not too brown and not too cream--for an endless array of pairings that can be colorful or not. Great for a Sunday Brunch or a business casual event.

Yes, everyone is aware of the huge chokehold a good pair of Clarks has on all of our favorite uncles, which can be a turn off for some. But I personally think a man in a pair of Clarks is a great sign of fashion versatility--if you get your man in a pair of these and he makes a good outfit out of them, you've won in the diversity department for sure. This New York Mets collab is absolutely stunning as it maintains the classic suede upper of Clarks with the Mets symbol carved on the toe. Like the Bettys, these sleek neutrals are great for your couple brunches this Spring. (Maybe in celebrating of killing the interview you just wore them to?)

Gucci and Suicoke

Much like the Marshmallow wedge, the G Platform loafers are a great addition for a casual Spring day, but just a little classier. Wherease I'd wear the marshmallows for a beach date, I'd opt for these on a picturesque picnic with a colorful setting lushed with grass and florals. These also make for a great pairing with colored socks depending on the outfit. The perforated soling adds additional comfort, so don't worry about long walks--these are perfect for that while still giving a height boost.

The Moto-Vhl's by Suicoke have been a warm weather staple for a few summers now; with their vibram morflex sole and mesh linings making them one of the comfiest and convenient choices for your spring wardrobe--men and women alike. The gold buckling and camel coloring on the classic model offers a sophisticated revamp to the lightest men's sandal on earth--an excellent neutral pairing for the Gucci G loafers above. Wether you're gearing up for a beach date or a laidback stroll through the park, Suicoke's latest release is what you need for either.

Bottega's and Blazers

If I had to summarize Spring in a shoe, I'd think of these Bottega's first. The clog girls and the heel girls can finally meet in the middle for this one of a kind mule. Compiled from foam and rubber met with a geometrically unforgettable midsole--these are sure to be a memorable look for a botanical garden trip or a day party where you definitely plan to drink a bit more than you should, the shoes will distract from your overtalking. With coloring reminiscent of my favorite orange cream siciles, these are for the ones who like to have fun with a look.

The perfect accompaniment for the eye catching Bottegas are these equally astounding Nike Blazer Lows. With their throwback jumbo laces and mix-matched heel tabs, these are a fun and nostalgic choice for just about any activity. The sky blue and grass green make these another Spring screamer, just be mindful of the places you go if you're sensitive about your whites!

GANNI'S and MIHARAYASUHIRO'S

Remember the outfit your parent's put you in on Easter Sunday? Well, Ganni has taken over the Spring season with a high fashion spin on the church shoe classic; equipped with all the works: velcro back fastening, silver buckles, and partial foot exposure. The muted two tones and grooved bottom makes this revamped mid heel a fun challenge for the true fashion lovers to play around with in the looks department. Sure to be the standout shoe at the next party you host.

I've got to be honest, I'll be lusting over most of these shoes rather than buying them. But these Miharayasuhiros Petersons? No, they have to be at my front door by the time we get our first 70 degree week here in Ohio. There's something about a chunky sneaker that is just to die for in my opinion. You can dress them up or down and even if your look is low effort they pull everything together in a nonchalant way. While I have had my eye on the low sneakers from this brand for awhile, I was patiently waiting on a colorway I couldn't live without and these olive three tones are definitely that for me. Like the Ganni's, these are an acquired taste in the fashion world which make them the perfect quircky pairing.

Current Mood and New Balance

When last minute heel searching, there's really nothing that compares to a Current Mood heel. You get so much chicness for an excellent price with every pair, and these platform clogs are no exception. With gold buckling detail, worn leather material, and a simple round toe atop a decent sized platform; these are the perfect addition to a Spring wardrobe to liven it up in a simple way. Especially if you're a neutral lover like me.

Nothing sums up a man's Spring better than a classic New Balance. The 574's are notable for being a great shoe for pretty much anything, and this Pine Green version is no exception this season. The rich colorway would make this an excellent pop of color for a laidback look this Spring where they peek out from baggy jeans or even a nylon shorts look where they're destined to make a statement all there own. Just like the Current Mood clogs, these are a shoe that help a simple outfit leave an impression.

Simmi and Adidas

For the girls who love a lot of extra height this Spring but can't go without a decent amount of support, these Simmi's are exactly what you need. The thick wedged soles and vegan leather material make for a great standout shoe. However, the simple off-white coloring tones them down just enough--a perfect meet in the middle for an array of looks. Could be perfect with a denim mini or even a revealing bodycon--whichever you're in the mood for. These are sure to get you through Spring and even carry you through Summer nights, too. And they won't hurt your pockets too much either.
